MC Valid is an aspiring Detroit Hip Hop artist, whose roots go down to Serbia, but growing up on the legendary Detroit hip-hop scene in the US made a strong impact on his musical career. RootsInSession participates in its most extensive international collaboration that includes a collaboration with young and promising hip hop vocalist Valid.
It was his single "Street Boy" from the album "Mihajlo" that RootsInSession first came across and saw it as an excellent base for them to put a more reggae vibe to it. Without losing the fidelity of the original, RootsInSession took it a step further. “Street Boy” is not just an ordinary remix, this is also the first one for which the instrumental was recorded live with renowned Slovenian and Croatian musicians. As the remix was missing a catchy woman’s vocal, RootsInSession decided to invite another international artist to give the lyrics an even deeper meaning – Jamaican artist SumeRR. They have already had the opportunity to meet SumeRR through the RootsInSession remix of her single “Head Up ft. Kumar” that was released by VPAL Music in 2020.

This American-Slovenian-Jamaican collaboration was further spiced up by Macedonian DJ Goce that did the mix and mastering of the newly remixed Reggae version.
